Today is a day of Two’s

“Surround yourself with people who are really good and really
passionate about what they do regardless of what it is… positivity and
passion make a powerful combination.” ~ Rahael Bermingham

Today was a great day.
I went to two places and met with two sets of awesome people.

Let me share these little moments with you.

My First Little Adventure

Location: Richmond
Who did I meet: Nathan & Jess

When I went there the first time, which was about a month ago, I was
curious to see what inspire9 (i9) was all about. It’s a co-working
space where you can meet creative-minded individuals and bounce any
potential ideas off them. Where you can bring in your macbook and take
over a little space and use their wifi. And did I mention, it’s free?!?!

It was all that and a little more. i9 really knows how to welcome and
shown an interest in anyone’s projects.

The second time I visited I had a bit of a mission. I wanted to use i9
as a way to gather more stories. I met up with Nathan again and chatted
with him about my idea. He listened attentively and persuaded me to
discuss it with Jess. In the end they both said YES. It feels pretty
empowering to know people believe in you and willing to support your idea.

I hope your curious enough to ponder and wonder what I will get up to,
but you just have to wait and see.

My Second Little Adventure

Location: No Vacancy @ QV
Who did I meet: Lucie & Lachlan

As soon as I walked in, all I saw was string and tags. It was instant
love for me. If you know me, you realised that I’m like spider(wo)man,
I love string and I love tags. I must say, if you’re having a crappy
day, may I suggest you visit this exhibition and even get the chance
to talk to the visionaries themselves. You will come out feeling

Both Lucie and Lachlan sparkle when they talk about hope and their project.

On a side note, I also chatted to Monique, she is a student of life
and yoga. She came down to see Lucie and ended up supporting
‘Band4Hope by buying a copper ‘Band of Hope’ bracelet. And that my
friends, is the core idea of this not-for-profit organisation. Each
wristband has a unique ID, where the owner  could than pass and spread
on their hope to the next person and continuously support their
charity too.

Someone said that by surrounding yourself with passionate people, you’ll
be become like them. I think it’s more the other way around, you have
to start with yourself. Be a passionate and positive person. And you’ll
find that you will attract like-minded people and find
opportunities in the most unusual places.

So what are you waiting for, make a time to see Band4hope in No
Vacancy Gallery in QV – for a short time they will be exhibiting till the 3rd of March before they bounce back
to Europe.

And go out and be inspired – check out i9.
